We begin a story about a real young Belarusian family, which this summer took their chance of buying a land plot in the suburbs with an old house.
We will preserve the personal space of this family, keeping the place of their construction a secret. However, we will definitely share with you what difficulties the guys met on the way to build a DREAM HOUSE.
Their names and the difficulties they will have to go through will remain real.
So, let us introduce SASHA and YANA. They will become the heroes of our project, which is going to last for about 2 years.
During this period, they want to build a shell of a future house. Our task is to prove that their decision was correct over the project period. And, indeed, building a house in the suburbs will be cheaper than buying apartment in Minsk.
The choice of Sasha and Yana was not easy. Nevertheless, after calculating the cost per square meter of an average apartment in Minsk, they made a bold decision to build their own house instead.
They found out that the price of m2 in a new building in Minsk is from $ 1,300 to $ 1,500 on average. And 80 squares of living space will cost from 104 thousand to 120 thousand $. And m2 of your own house — from 300 to 500 $.
It is clear that this is the average cost of a budget house for a young family with a total area of 140-160 m2.
This information is approximate, and the figures are based only on the search and calculations made by Sasha and Yana, taking into account their real financial capabilities.
Young families do not earn enough to build a palace, but they do earn enough to live in more spacious conditions than 80 m2 in Khrushchev.
